CONSUMER SPENDING IS UP
Consumer spending was up 0.3% in February, and guess what, that
was the month my daughter and I went backpacking in the mountains. I
spent a ton of money on equipment. Honestly, .15% of the increase may
have come from my trail mix investment alone. Hold your thanks. I
embarrass easily.
Spring break for my kids started officially today. Why do we have
Spring break? Isn’t it so that the children
DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION PART 1
My son plays cello in the orchestra in middle school, and he also
takes private drum lessons. My middle daughter, who I forgot to tell
you in my last piece, just turned sixteen, has played the violin for
seven years. And my oldest daughter took piano lesson for a couple of
years, and sang in the chorus at school for a year or two. Every time
I take one of them to a lesson at a music school I find a

Yesterday was my daughter Alley’s birthday. I’ve read a lot of
sappy Facebook postings by mothers, on their kids’ birthdays, about
how their lives changed when their little angels came into the world.
I’m happy for them. My daughter screamed for seven months. It changed
my life.
When I turned sixteen, all I felt was inadequate, because there
are so many songs about it. My lips

My son just said that he thought it would be cool if there were
two of me, which is one of the sweetest thing he ever said, but I have
a feeling that if there were two of me, we’d fight. There would just
be something about me that would piss me off. For one thing, I don’t
think I’d like my attitude.

This is my first time writing on my new website, and I’m very
intimidated. It reminds me of when I first opened my brand new MARY
POPPINS coloring book. Even as a child I knew that going out of the
lines was inevitable for me.
I’m in the Holiday Inn Express near JFK. I got here about an
